Founded in 1891 the 18 hole ridge top course has an out and back format. Fine views of the Severn Valley to the Malvern Hills, Brecon Beacons and Cotswolds Slad Valley. A short course that requires accuracy. Five Fairways are shared with right of way to the incoming players.

Take the A46 from Brockworth Cross Hands Roundabout 3.9 miles (past the Royal William and the Beacon turning) and turn Right the club parking is now 200yards on your left down the ramp.

From the B4073 Painswick Road Roundabout on the Ring road travel 4.2 miles past the Hatton Court Hotel and Beacon Road Turn Left and 1st left again the Clubhouse in now 200yards on your right.
Go past Stroud to Jnt 11A Follow signs towards Cirencester then Stroud A46. Now follow instruction from North
Take the A46 from Stroud north through Painswick village 0.9 miles from Painswick traffic lights Turn Left (opposite Sheepscombe turning) 200yards turn right the club is now 200 yards on your right.
