GOLF POLICY
Proud to be a part of England Golf
England Golf is the governing body for all English golf clubs. It's mission is to "support and empower a thriving community of players, counties and clubs to get the most out of the game we all love".
England Golf supports Painswick Golf Club by offering advice regarding legal compliance with Health & Safety measures. They also arrange competitions and maintain a uniform system of handicapping, administering and applying the Rules approved by the Council of National Golf Union.
Women in Golf
The R&A launched the Women in Golf Charter in May 2018, supported by England Golf and other organisations from across the industry. The purpose is to encourage women and young girls to play golf, join clubs and increase their opportunities to work within the industry.
Painswick Golf Club is proud to have recently joined the charter and we endeavour to create an inclusive environment where women are encouraged to take part in our regular competitions and weekly round-ups. We have seen an increase in the number of female members over the past few years and hope this will continue in the future. If you are interested in becoming a member at PGC, please do not hesitate to contact us on 01452 812180 or email painswickgolfers@gmail.com.
Safe Golf
At Painswick, we believe that golf should be an opportunity to have fun in a safe and supportive environment, regardless of age, gender and race. Whether you are a member or a visitor, if you see or hear something that is of concern, please look at our Safeguarding Policies which should offer you guidance on reporting the incident. Please also view our Disciplinary Regulations for additional information.
Our Club's Welfare Officer is Mrs Ann Smith. Please email secretarypgc1891@gmail.com or call 07762593052 should you have any queries or concerns.
